That worked out.

So, kind of a last minute thing, I went to OMA (Orlando Museum of Art) with [livejournal.com profile] nymphie tonight after work. She posted that she had an extra ticket, and I took the bait. In all truth, I have never been to our art museum so this was a great opportunity. A few of her pieces were in an exhibition for local artists which was neat. The theme this month was "art and science" and there were some interesting pieces. Offhand, I think the giant sperm made the biggest impression. I liked most of what I saw which was a great bonus. After that, we walked around the rest of museum and chatted and tried to get to know each other more. This was the first time meeting outside of livejournal. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a familiar painting style...Georgia O'Keefe...and it was a real Georgia O'Keefe painting! I wished it were Waterhouse, but I like O'Keefe too. I had a poster of her artwork in my room growing up. That, and Monet, along with the music posters. It was nice...I miss my old room. Anyhow, I really enjoyed meeting another friend from my friends list...it adds something special to the entries now. I hope we can get together again in the future. :)

Oh yeah, message to Noggin...just get "My So Called Life" back on already! I can't handle seeing anymore ads if I have to wait a month more! It's been ages since I saw the show originally, but I am looking forward to revisiting my youth. Heh.

Off to watch Beat the Geeks with my wonderful huggy bear in a few.

This is the poster I used to have in my room. Yes, I know what it looks like. Thank you.

I can't remember if this is the one we saw tonight or not, as there are multiple pictures of white flowers.I seem to remember it being more rectangular, but this picture might be cropped. I don't know really.

Your fascination is a communication from your subconscious about how much you want me. That desire frightens you so you pushed it down and it surfaced as this art fixation. This is true even though your discovery of O'Keefe's work predates your discovery of me. (grin)
