Surprise surprise.

When I got home yesterday, there were a few surprises in store for me. Our friend Doug, the artist whose show we were at Friday night, was sitting on the floor of our office/guest room. Chas was burning a copy of the cd that Doug was playing at the mobile installation for me, and a spare copy for the store owner who put on the show since we both liked it. He also brought over our mobile! We'll try to get a picture of it when it is up and post it. And Chas bought me a bar of Toblerone. Mmmm. He gets a reward for that. :p

Well, not much more to tell. I am learning of more and more people who will be in my Charter training class Monday. Lots of people who aren't going are saying things like "the grass isn't *always* greener on the other side" and "it may be just as bad on Charter" and other similar things. Pessimists. Maybe or maybe not, but I'd like to *think* that maybe it will be better up there; try to think possitively, though with my head somewhat rooted in reality. I realize it may not be great, but there is no way to find out other than to go there. The people up there that I know seem to be happy, so that ought to be a start. Right?

Oh yeah, update with the hair seems ok. I think the dye essentially did what I wanted it to do in the first place.
I used Herbatint color 7N, for natural medium blonde which is a mix of ash and gold tones). My natural is medium ash and it looks grey-ish. The rest of the hair was dyed dark natural blonde, but it took a darker hue, so it is almost a light brown, and it had a bit of red in it still. So, the roots look better because the ash has some gold with it now, and the ash in the color neutralized some of the red. The roots are still lighter than the rest, but they blend in better which is the goal I had. And it looks fine like the sun lightened the crown of my head a little so that is ok too. I intend to continue with this color until the darker color grows out, and then I will decide what to do. I may mix the natual medium blonde with natual dark blond for results somewhere in between the medium and the dark. Or not. I don't know. I will just evaluate it as I go, but I do know that I will continue with this same color for consistency, the fact I can use it as 2 applications (as long as my hair is short to medium in length), and the fact that is is far mre gentle on my hair than regular dye, and I really don't want to kill my hair too much more. :)

Right now there is a lot of stuff flying around about SBC, and not entirely sure how much is true, if any, but the thing that most people are saying is that SBC may not renew their contract with Convergys. On the other hand, someone also mentioned the possibility of getting Verizon for an account, though not sure if in Heathrow or not.

I already know a handful of us going up, and I expect there'll be more, but i don't know how many more.
