Neti Pot

Anyone on my friends list (that is local) used a neti pot before? I am thinking seriously of trying it, but have my reservations. Ok, so I am scared of pouring salted water up my nose into my sinus cavities to treat my sinus and allergy issues. I would like to see if someone could help guide me through the process so I can get used to it better. Just now I joined [livejournal.com profile] nasal_warfare, a relatively new community for sinus irrigation. Hoefully I will get valuable info from them to help me, but a person guiding me through would be so much better.

so that's what that thing is! john has one in the medicine cabinet. and now that i think about it, it makes sense. he's mentioned "nasal irrigation" but i didn't know that that little teapot looking thing had anything to do with it.

sorry, i can't help, but i can tell you that he seems to think it works well.

I sure wish I lived closer, I've modeled neti pots before, but like you, had to have someone help me my first time because it worried me so much. I hope you find someone to help you out, once you try it, you'll probably make it a part of your daily hygiene routine, and see your nasal problems greatly reduce. - good luck!
