Neti Pot

Anyone on my friends list (that is local) used a neti pot before? I am thinking seriously of trying it, but have my reservations. Ok, so I am scared of pouring salted water up my nose into my sinus cavities to treat my sinus and allergy issues. I would like to see if someone could help guide me through the process so I can get used to it better. Just now I joined nasal_warfare, a relatively new community for sinus irrigation. Hoefully I will get valuable info from them to help me, but a person guiding me through would be so much better.

I sure wish I lived closer, I've modeled neti pots before, but like you, had to have someone help me my first time because it worried me so much. I hope you find someone to help you out, once you try it, you'll probably make it a part of your daily hygiene routine, and see your nasal problems greatly reduce. - good luck!

I may choose another type, like the one you use, or one of the newer more modern hybrids, but the process is nearly the same. It seems that neti, with the drying and more water and such, is more complicated than the others, but maybe more thorough and such. I called a friend who is not on my list, but who has helped me with more natural things in the past, and my brother seemed to know what it was when I mentioned irrigation in the first place. He may know more than I do at this point. Thanks for your concern though.
