Just a nice day and evening.

Did some errands today, nothing of too much interest. Missed shopping with [livejournal.com profile] nymphie. My fault-I wanted to eat lunch first. We took our pillows back to K-Mart and I swapped for the more expensive tempurpedic style to see if it works. I hope so. I am sick of not having a good pillow that doesn't leave my neck sore in the morning. The one I had was almost good, but not quite what I need...still better than most. Chas also needed to return some shoes to Payless...I saw some funky pink Airwalk garden clogs. I would like to see if they come in black or brown, but I doubt it. I also picked up some hair dye from Chamberlins. I can't stand to see my roots right now; they look so dull in comparison to the rest of my hair. It was so hot today (101F) and having done all the running around town, we decided to have a nap for a bit.

On a whim, Chas and I decided to invite my parents to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. I think the "our treat" but won them over. :) They go there more than we do since they live down the road, but they always eat in a hurry, so tonight it was relaxed. I like that place. We should eat there more often. :)

My parents gave Chas a late birthday present which was a gift card for Border, and by total coincidence, we had planned on going tp Borders after dinner anyway. We weren't sure which Borders to go to as we were closer to the Altamonte Springs one, but we live really close to the Winter Park one. We decided to got to the one by home, and it is a good thing too, because we ran into our friends Jan and Al. We saw them a few months ago with [livejournal.com profile] glitter. Anyhow, Al is the one who created the peacock design on the street signs, and back of stop signs on Park Avenue. They are always so nice to talk to. While we were there I picked up a journal for me to write down important things for work so I don't have to carry 20 pounds of user manuals and such...sort of like my own handbook based on the learning materials and web info; something I can easily throw in my bas and not feel weighed down. I also got A Series of Unfortunate Events books 1-3 in the box set. It was the first time I had seen the original box set in the store, I had a 25% off coupon, and I actually have money right now to buy things with, so I got it. I still have to finish Half Blood Prince and a few other books though, so I won't get to them right away, but since I have already read them, I can wait. Hopefully more 25% off coupons will allow me to get the remaining sets soon.

I start my regular shift tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. Guess this is all for now kids. :)

It really is good for a buffet style place. They do try to have neat salads outside the ordinary, and the soups and baked goods are also good. I think it is because they don't try to have too much, so they can focus on the food they do well.

We used to go all the time in St. Louis. They do not have them here
