I wish this wasn't so expensive...

I want this tea set SOOOO bad...

Zen Tea Set

Reflecting natures inner essence in an outward form, this wonderful earthenware teapot with infuser comes with five matching cups and aromatic cedarwood coasters. The set is attractively presented in an artisan crafted bamboo basket. One Pot (13.6 oz) with five cups (3.4 oz) $92.00

You do? Did you get it from Republic of Tea? Is it worth the $92 price tag?

92? Not quite. It'll make about four cups, if using the small cups that come with it. One to one and a half if using normal size cups.

I recommend something from Teavana if you need to be serving to larger numbers.

Yeah, it is $92. And yes, I noticed the cups are fairly small, as is the capacity of the teapot. This would be better for making a few cups or having guests. For single servings I have a few different things to use. I also have a small pot that makes about 3 or 4 cups from Adagio...just a plain ole white pot though.

=) beautiful Tea Set. There is a asian store in lafayette that sells tea sets similar to that, i think they make great gifts for tea lovers.

I'd love to give one to TeaJade :)

I gave her a lovely teapot for her birthday last year. Along with the genmai cha sampler among others. I want that one too, and it is cheaper, but this has always been among my favorites. And because it has 5 cups, it demands a tea party. :P

the only genmai cha tea i've had is Yama Moto this asian brand.
Have you heard of that one?

=) aww lucky you! i like giving nice gifts to someone like birthdays. Makes me feel good.

Hehe seriously! tea party!

No, I haven't. I had my first GMC from Adagio...was so intrigued by the picture I had to get a sampler. Tried Choice Organic bagged, Republic of Tea, Red Blossom Tea (from SF...gift from [livejournal.com profile] teajade) and whatever brand the local tea houses here have.
