Flibbity Jesus, it is cold outside.

Note to self: Wear socks with closed-toe shoes and a big fat sweater when going outside again. Hat, mittens, and wool coat might be good too. :)

Remind me where you live again?

Whingey so and so. It's cold outside here, cos it's 2C!

I'm in Florida, and it was in the 40's yesterday, which is cold for us, considering how much warmer it had been day before. The blizzard and snowstorms in the northeast are making it colder here. we turned our heat on last night for the first time this season.

Sorry, But

...it's 20 degrees outside where I am. My sympathy for you down there in Florida is limited. ;)

We'll get to 20F soon enough. Give it a few weeks or so. It is always coldest in January. And again, by Florida perspective, it IS cold, considering how much of the year we spend in 90F+ weather. Surely you remember the heat don't you? :) Anyhow, when it gets below 60F, most people here, myself included, reach for their warm coats. Our climate band is diffrent here in the south, but it doesn't mean we don't get cold weather. When the temperature drops 30-40F +/- from whatever your normal warm temperature is, it is cold. So since we are normally in the 80's and 90's (and sometimes the 100's), temperatures below 60F are cold to us. Blah, and more blah. :)

PS. Do you think you are coming down for a visit still, and if so, any idea when?

*chuckle*

I sincerely doubt you're going to get to 20F ;) Anyway, I was just teasing you. Here in Detroit, we at least know and expect to freeze our nuts off, even those of us who don't have them. :)

I will be coming down for a visit as soon as possible. Not sure when that will be. Hopefully February or March (Speaking of the heat, it pretty much gets too hot for me to deal with all the driving after April). It all depends on what happens here. I'll try to keep you posted. Lots of love to you and Chas.

I know you were teasing. Seriously though, sometime in January it will get into the 20's. It always does. Whether on its own or via wind chill, it WILL get that cold. It got to 16F or so (with windchill) last year. We've had ice and frost on our windshields in the last few years.

Yes, let us know about your trip when you can, so we can plan. We will likely be out of town in mid-February though.

You had open-toe shoes on outside? The cat in your usericon must have looked extra contemptuous.

I had on normal pants and a 3/4 length t-shirt, with my birkenstocks (Florida style) so I was dressed for slightly warmer weather, like it had been the day before.

By the time I came back inside, my toes were tingling from the cold and from the wind.
