I think I am going to eat all of the garlic shrimp voila! I just made. Muah ha ha!!! I will make the other for Chas if he ever gets up! :p

Tomorrow, tomorrow,tomorrow...yes, tomorrow...I am off work and I MUST look at fixing my muffler! It cannot go much longer. It rattles and is significantly louder than before, and now my car will not start unless I push the gas pedal...it stalls and won't turn over unless I rev it, and I can't help but think that is bad for my car. I know I have waited far too long, but it is time. It is also quite expensive as it only has one kind available. :(

Speaking of days off, I hope they fix my schedule at work. They have partially fixed it for this week, Instead of working 6-3, I can come in when I want, so I came in at 8:45 today. I like my new manager here a lot. Granted, I think getting off at 3pm is great, but being there at 6am is not. They couldn't do anything about my days off, so I work another Saturday, and it interferes with my plans to be in Tampa with my brother for his birthday bash, although his birthday is actually today. Happy Birthday little brother! I may very well have to work the 6-3 to be able to get out in time and over to Tampa in time for the bash. And I'm sure I will need some Red Bull or something by 10:00 or so. Haven't gotten the schedule for next week, and I admit I am a little scared. Aside from the schedule thing, work is going well. I am enjoying myself more, and I feel odd, because now I am in the position where *I* need the help, whereas in the past, I was the one *giving* the help. But everyone has been helpful so far, and things are going smoothly it seems. Sure, there are dumb people out there, and they are bound to call someone, so it might as well be me. Right? I have my war stories from my other accounts and now I have them for this account. It makes me feel warm and tingly inside now.

Went to Lesley and Jared's housewarming party Saturday after leaving work half a day early. But Chas got stuck on a job and couldn't get me for over an hour, and since I used half a day of UTO (unpaid time off) which is only available in half or whole day increments so I could not go back upstairs and take more calls. Is is ok, since I was able to take a big chunk out of "Byzantium!" (that Keith Topping is amazing, he is!) while waiting. Once we got to the party things were peachy. We met an old friend of ours that we know from [livejournal.com profile] glittergrrl69. Chas met one of his co-workers from over 10 years ago! Interestingly enough, I began talking to his wife without even knowing it. She reminds me a lot of Aurora Liz (AL). I even showed her the little flyer that AL was on to this person, and she agreed there *was* a striking similarity! Welcome [livejournal.com profile] inannamaiya...glad to have you here.

Anyhow, what else? What else? Ok, this is something else my mom sent me.

I can't believe my mom sent me something about a penis! Even if it is a joke!

A REQUEST FOR A SALARY RAISE

I, the Penis, hereby request a raise in salary for the following reasons:

I do physical labor.
I work at great depths.
I plunge head first into everything I do.
I do not get weekends or public holidays off.
I work in a damp environment.
I work in a dark workplace that has poor ventilation.
I work in high temperatures.
My work exposes me to contagious diseases.

----------------------------------------------

Dear Penis,
After assessing your request, and considering the arguments
you have raised, the administration rejects your request for
the following reasons:

You do not work 8 hours straight.
You fall asleep after brief work periods.
You do not always follow the orders of the management team.
You do not stay in your designated area and are often seen visiting other locations.
You do not take initiative--you need to be pressured and stimulated in order to start working.
You leave the workplace rather messy at the end of your shift.
You don't always observe necessary safety regulations, such as wearing the correct protective clothing.
You will retire well before you are 65.
You are unable to work double shifts.
You sometimes leave your designated work area before you have completed the assigned task.

And if all this is not enough, you have been seen constantly entering and exiting the work place carrying two suspicious-looking bags.

Tee hee!
