Not *too* much excitement going around, but here was our day:

We spent the morning and early afternoon with my parents, brother Mark, brother Seth, and sister-in-law Karen. Mommy made fried matzah; good ole Jew food. Yum! (Daddy's fried matzah is good too!) Karen made this blueberry stuffed french toast thingy with blueberry syrup. Both were really yummy (and sugary sweet) and it was hard to say which was best.

After leaving the folks' place, we headed over to visit grandad in the elder care center nearby. It was good to see him and talk for a short time, but it was sad to see how he is losing grip with reality. Sometimes he doesn't fully comprehend, understand or realize that his wife passed away two months ago today. He still thinks they live together. We really must make a stronger attempt to see him more often. It made him really happy to see us. :)

After leaving grandad at the elder care center, we trekked across town to see Chas' dad. He took us out to Macaroni Grill, one of my favorites (for a chain) for dinner and then Chas did some basic "household jobs" for him. I relaxed/slept on the sofa. ; p

We came home, and then I called my bio mom (since she called yesterday while we were out)...she got the job in Tallahassee and is moving so she can start Thursday. Congrats to her...I hope she will be happy.

Well, that is about it for my family day. We enjoyed getting together with everyone today. Made us happy.
