Just came back from my break where I took a short walk outside in the glorious parking lot. Anyways, there was this horrible sound and then my friend and I realized it was someone's car alarm going off, and it sounded like it was on it's last legs. It must have been going off for a long time to sound the way it did. I feel bad for whoever owns that car, because chances are he/she'll be starting a car with a dead battery. That's something I really never understood about car alarms...if you're in a building like an office or mall or something, you'll never hear the alarm going off to disable it. There ought to be some kind of back up mechanism or trigger or *something* to stop the alarm from draining the battery or to make some sound through your keychain to tell you it is going off. There are plenty of brilliant people out there to fix this problem. Though I have to admit, I LOVED it when I had my brother's car and I could lock and unlock remotely (and activate the alarm)...it was very useful in rainy situations as I could activate it to lock from inside my apartment. And Cameron loved the sounds it made. I kinda got hooked. :)
Anyhow, this is just a rant...something that I have thought many times in the past.
