Didn't get much done over the weekend. Not very exciting either.

Friday evening, we went to visit some friends of ours and their 2 kiddies, had dinner, and watched a little Season 1 Red Dwarf on DVD. They had never seen it before. All the people who normally wake up before noon began crapping out around 10:30 or 11 pm, including yours truly. ; p

Saturday, I went down to Park Avenue, and (finally) used my gift certificate from Origins. I get a $10 gc for my birthday each year, and uh, my birthday was almost a year ago. It's coming up soon again...need to get that wish list thing done soon. Got lunch for me and huggy bear, ate, read my book for a little while, napped for a little while. Eventually I started to watch some TV...watched the beginning of a Bewitched marathon. I saw it from the very first episode. I used to watch the show when I was a kid but never saw the first episode...I was so happy! After that, I was a slave to the style network. Oh how lovely and wonderful Nigella is.

Sunday, I was a slave to the computer, and had some wonderful chats with people like [livejournal.com profile] shyystarr and my brother. My brother was chatting from his Sidekick while he was tagging along with our cousins while they were shopping for shower curtains for their new house. And they were arguing about what to get...flowers or no flowers. [Note to Joe: First (and very essential) rule to a happy marriage...default to the wife, always. This includes as a sub-rule: the wife always has first say in decorating, unless the guy actually has any taste. If you're lucky enough to meet a guy with taste and style, then compromise is the best way to go.] Did some errands. We went to Sonic for lunch and Chas and I had our first pancake on a stick. This is basically a breakfast version of a corndog; a sausage link on a stick with pancake batter around it with a dipping container of syrup. It was really yummy, and it was great to be able to have breakfast at anytime. Went to Chas's computer client afterwards, then visited my grandad, got groceries and came home. Watched more TV (including more Bewitched) while I made dinner, and we watched a restored version of the Dr Who classic story, The Aztecs.

So nothing monumental happened. Just a lazy weekend.

Less than an hour to go!! To go home, that is. Only because they cut our schedules back an hour for the next few weeks or so. But I have my hour lunch again!

PS Glitter...I think you should move your blog over to an lj. Or just create an lj in addition to your blog. [livejournal.com profile] phishtails agrees. :) I can even give you the invite code if you want. Then you won't have to comment anonymously! :) (looking sheepish) Er, just a thought.

Sometimes people are so stupid. I hear this all the time at work.

"I'm not computer illiterate."

This sentence means they ARE computer literate, as illiterate means "not literate" and saying you're not not literate means you are. In the context of tech support, I know they mean to say that "they are computer illiterate."

I don't have perfect grammar or spelling myself, but there are some things like this that just bug me.
