Yummy treats at the Dollar Tree stores now!

Had fun with [livejournal.com profile] shyystarr last night. I unpacked my "pirate booty" (aka Pampered Chef order) to see everything I had gotten. I made out pretty well from my party, though hosting the show a day after my birthday kinda helped! Kristen made fun of me 'cuz all the stuff was sitting on the couch looking at the tv. :) I had it there until I had washed it all, and thought of where to put it all. But Heather is clevererer than most, and put her brilliant organization skills together and found homes for all her new toys. Anyhow, so I made changes to my user pics last night, with Kris' help, then we went to Stardust for her to work on a paper. I can't believe they had on the Lizzy McGuire movie on...it was insane!!! We determined that Kristen needs a laptop, and I know someone selling one...maybe it will work out..who knows? Came back to my place and I made Chas a late makeshift dinner while Kris scoured the net for research on her paper. I used my new chef's skillet and my new spiral whisk to make cheddar potatoe soup (dry mix in a bag) and pierogies. The whisk, as odd as it may look, worked wonderfully in this pan. I look forward to using more of my new toys soon. Hopefully [livejournal.com profile] octophonic and [livejournal.com profile] hervoodoo will make it down on this trip and we can all cook together! If not, I guess it is ok, I will have to deal and make an extra effort to cook next time we get together. Jenny and I have Swedish meatballs to make together, and who knows what other yummy goodness!

On a side note, my boss was not a total bitch today. That was refreshing. I have a silver star on (my hand) for reading a paper. I have no idea why, though people rumored that they were being given quizzes on what they read. I read it, sure, but don't ask me to quote any of it for you.

I have really been thinking seriously of starting a cooking club lately. After my PC party, Lil Debbie suggested to me and Kristen that we should have a punk rock cooking club or something. Sounds great to me, punk or not. :) Anyone else interested? Even those out of town can contribute, as I may post an informal poll ( or have Krisen do it since she can do polls) of what to make for the upcoming gathering. Any ideas? Just something I was tossing around in my brain.

Well, guess I should look into making tonight's dinner; Chas should be home any time now, but I am hungry now.

Over and out chicas and chicos!
