So I survived my terrible fate of going to get tested for allergies on Tuesday. It wasn't the most pleasant experience, I can assure you, but I am so glad that huggy bear was there with me to hold my hand. That made things so much better. :) It's just like Chinese Water torture, because they inject the various allergens into your arms with wierd plastic prickers and then it begins to itch...and you cannot scratch it to make it go away. I had to sit like that, palms facing upward, for 20 minutes. Not scratching an itch is one of those things that drives me crazy. And yes, I did cry during the process. I know I am a cry baby when it comes to doctors and needles...it is like an auto-reflex now. I almost think it has something to do with anxiety, or nervousness or something. I didn't used to be like this, and I used to be able to take huge honkin' needles in my arms...even when they futzed up and couldn't figure which of my tiny arms had the better veins. Anyhow, it turns out that the only thing I am technically allergic to is bahia grass, one of the most common grasses in the lovely state of Florida. I tested "5" from a scale of 1-5, 5 being most allergic to it. Sigh, I guess I will have to move somewhere where they don't grow bahia grass. As for the rest, my skin did react with everything else, but not enough to consider it an allergy, I guess more of a sensitivity. I had little pin prick marks all up and down my arms the whole rest of the day and into the night, and one giant, thumbnail-sized, mosquito-like bite mark on my left arm. They were gone by the next morning though. I am going to look into something natural first, because I don't see much sense in paying $20/week for 3 months for allergy shots for one allergy, especially with my known history to needles. My dad said that my mom's natural doctor has a bahia grass formula. Someone else said I should look into usually locally havested honey because the local bees pollinate from local plants, and that might help with my other sensitivites. I might see if I can get a honey/homeopathic mixture made up or something, but I don't know for now.

Recapping a little further back, last Saturday night, Matt and I joined Kristen to go downtown. Below are the pictures we took in the photobooth at BBQ Bar. I know some people seeing this already saw these from Kris' post, but I took the pics to post to the rest of my friends.
