So on Thursday, before the last part of my training began, my manager comes up to me to tell me that someone from the class had complained to her about me from the day before. I didn't really know why. She was told that I was holding up the class from learning with my questions and debates. I wasn't the only person asking questions and delaying the training from progressing. There was a fair amount of bitching from the whole class, in fact. And I told her this. The only thing I can think that would have offended anyone is that I mentioned I was tired, had a headache and cramps. I don't know if I said I was PMS-ing or not, but if I did, it was said as a warning that my emotional state was fragile, and the littlest thing could trigger a downpour of tears or a nasty backlash or what have you. It would not have been said to gross anyone out. Anyhow, so I made a generally vague apology at the end of the class saying that if I had done or said anything yesterday that offended anyone that I was sorry. No one knew what I was talking about, so I didn't elaborate. I should mention that the trainer from the first day had a morning appointment and we had someone else do our Mac training, though she arrived at the end of the class. Well, so yesterday at work comes and goes, and as I am getting ready to leave, I run into her. She mentions that my manager told her the same thing about the employee who complained about me. She had also heard my apology. And she stood up for me saying I had done nothing wrong, and had there been a problem she'd have said so during the training. How cool is that?! So she stood up for me to my manager. I had tried to stand up to her saying I didn't do or say anything wrong and she didn't care. And do you know what? Even after the trainer stood up for me, I didn't get an apology or anything from my manager. Fucking figures.
Anyhow, Chas came to get me after work, since he needed the car during the day. He was late but that was ok, because it all worked out. My parent's took us out for dinner last night to celebrate their anniversary (which is actually today). So since my parents live near the interstate on the way home, we just met them there a little early. We were also able to sneak to the store to get a nice card for them. Dinner wasn't anything fancy...we had an all you can eat seafood dinner at the Picadilly cafeteria buffet near their place. It was kind of them to take *us* out. We are still going to take them out, just not sure when. Came home and had a nice evening. I watched the Good Eats episode on nuts I had missed Wednesday...oh how I love the PVR!! And I was in heaven since of all the nuts he could have talked about and cooked with, he picked pistachios! Yay! I only wish Chas could handle nuts better...I'd love to try that pistachio pesto sauce (minus the tarragon...ew!) he made. I watched the last half of How Do I Look? and went to bed. I'm not sure why I was so tired at 10:30. Maybe it is that my schedule is back to normal now (at least for the most part) and I have been getting up earlier again. I was really tired regardless of reason. What sucks is that I woke up around the time Chas was coming to bed, and then got a massive cramp in my right calf, and had to >i>go, so I hopped to the bathroom with my left leg at 2am since I couldn't walk. It was probably a funny sight to see. Heh. ;) In fact, it is still sore now. I don't think I have ever had a cramp that made me sore the next day. I think this calls for some hot bath and bubbles action. :)
I am not sure what the rest of the day holds for me just yet. Chas is coming to pick me up after his doctor appointment, and we will likely grab lunch somewhere and then visit my grandad, since we haven't seen him the last two weekends. After that, it is up in the air. Might go shopping with
glittergrrl69 for some work clothes, or get together with
shyystarr for a little while or something. I don't know yet, but I will play it by ear I guess. If something works out...great! If not, it's ok.
Well, that hot bubbly bath idea is looking pretty good, so I think I will take advantage of my alone time now.
