I got my schedule for the week after next, and...it is 8:30-5:30 all week! I could not believe my eyes! I almost wanted to have my manager pinch me to make sure I was not dreaming, but a) she was not there and b) she'd likely pinch me too hard.

In other news, I have decided that I should to go to the doctor. I have an appointment for next Wednesday, though I would like to go sooner. I would go sooner if I had the money for the appointment and the drugs they will likely prescribe for me, but I have limited funds for the next week, and some of that has to go to Chas and his prescription refill. It would be: get his medicine or have me go to the doctor and get medicine. Both are important, but judging his need for his medicine daily, I will just wait until Wednesday. If perhaps an extra amount of money should make itself visible sooner, I will see about rescheduling for a sooner appointment. Until then...

Another reason why I love Alton Brown and Good Eats:

I was just thinking back to last night when I was watched the "egg" episode (actually, one of several episodes on eggs) on the pvr from the night before. He was making quiche basically, and at one point he shows a number of pie tins with a variety of ingredients in each...smoked salmon and asparagus, spinach, artichoke, and parmesan, etc. And he saved the best for last. He pours the egg mixture in the final tin which he explains has a fruity port salut (cheese) and SPAM. No sooner than his utterance of the last word, we all hear "Spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam..." in the background (badly done I might add) to which he says something to the effect of "turn it down over there" and gets back to the show. Quoting Monty Python in a cooking show, even done as badly as it was, still gets coolness points in my book.

Alton Brown = Monty Python fan?
