Hurricane Charley stuff...

So far, we are only getting rain, in amounts not unusual for us in the summer. It only recently started. Lots of projections are indicating that we will be having a bit of a rough night. Many people taking it very serious now as there are comparisons to Donna, a really bad hurricane that happened from 40 years ago in this area. Some say that it is not as serious as people are making it out, but never the less, preparations are in order here. Got my cell phone charging, found some candles, have some bottled water and dried goods, and I guess that is it. Hopefully this will be enough and things won't be bad. The waiting and watching the news is probably the worst part, if not the pressure. The barometric pressure, that is. My head has been in much pain all day. I think I should probably lie down soon.

Despite waiting (endlessly, it seems) for the storm, I am quite happy. Something unexpected just happened and now I have a smile on my face...and it hasn't gone away yet. :D

Still waiting...

...like the lobster in the tank at the restaurant. Right now it seems like the lobster won't be dinner, but the restaurant is still open, and things may change before the night is over. At any time.

Another bit of rain with a bit of wind passed through not too long ago. Still kinda wimpy compared to our normal summer rain, but the wind was slightly more than usual. I just saw a video, on the news, of I-4 (our main interstate for you out-of-towners) with only 3 cars on it. You never see that! A couple of sirens have gone by occasionally. Fire? Police? Ambulance? Dunno really.

Guess we'll have to continue waiting...

...and in the meantime, I am going to enjoy my Thai rice noodles.
