We never made it to Gasparilla, for a few reasons, but it is ok because Chas had forgotten the eye exam he had scheduled then. And so we went. And I found myself a new pair of glasses. I mean, after we buy Chas his new ones, but I would like a spare pair, and some that aren't as cutesy childish as the ones I have now. Don't get me wrong...I like my current glasses...it took a long time to find them (one of the reasons I am so up on the pair I found) but they are Sesame Street frames with little bows, hearts and flowers on the sides (not very visible) and they are pinkish metallic not quite gold and not silver either. Granted, the pair I found are FAO Schwartz. I can't help being small, and well, kids glasses fit me better. The new glasses have a darker frame, they list it as copper. It is matte like the ones I have now, and the shape is different...less rounded and more square. I think they suit my face and hair color, and make me look a little older, or maybe more sophisticated than my current ones. Since I don't have the money to put half down ($75), we will have to wait, but the store said they would put them on hold for me, and there is a note to call me before they put them on the shelf again. This should give us some time to get Chas his glasses, and get mine ordered.
