16 May 2005 23:38Well, yesterday did not go as planned. Was supposed to go to Titusville and test drive a Ford Escape hybrid for an article. In the end, I ate at McDonald's and did not get sick, ate at Betos and did get sick (in the name of a fish taco and a horchata), spent more time and money in an urgent care center than I had planned to, spent a few hours at Chas's office while he worked late hours, and topped it all off by introducing my forehead to the door frame on Chas' car at 1:30 in the morning. Needless to say that within minutes, a rather pronounced bump appeared. Once I got home and could see it in the light, it looked as though I had a sub-dermal implant about the size of a quarter. I have had ointment and ice on it all day, but it still hurts like a bitch, especially when I sneeze. But there was no broken skin or bleeding, and only the slightest sign of bruising, so I can't complain that much. But I can still complain. It stilI hurts. though the swelling has slightly gone down.
I was able to pick up my new glasses tonight, but I won't be able to tell if they fit right because my head already hurts. But at least I payed them off and got them, and that does make me happy. I can get them adjusted later on if I need to, though from the basic test they did tonight, I think they will be ok as is.
Better get some rest and take more medicine for my head.
