Well, I have to say that that was probably the best "first dance" I have seen. Who else could get away with dancing to The Cure for the first dance? But it was pulled off with expert precision.

As for the pics of the dress, well, we took some, but they didn't come out that great, so I am not going to post them unless there are other pictures from other cameras that turned out ok. I think it was the lighting. Should have taken them outside, but we were in a hurry, and on the way out of the chapel it was raining, then on to the reception and back into a dark room.

It was good seeing some of the people I was in high school with. Got to gossip a bit.

I guess that is it for now.

In the next year, I hope to:

Master File Maker Pro to the point where I can do it for a regular career. I will do it in stages. Right now I am reading a book for beginners, and once I finish reading it I will re-read it and make the database that the book is walking me through. We need to get the demo on the computer though. Once that is done, I want to look into learning more through books, online materials, and experience making a few things for myself with the help of the friend who inspired me in the first place. Once I have gained some experience and confidence with that, I would like to be able to do some basic work for her...maybe some of the foundation stuff to build up the skills. I would like to be paid, but I would do it free just to gain the experience and confidence. If all goes well, I would like to be able to switch to do that on a regular basis. If it continues to go well, I would like to be able to work more from home. I think it would be good for me, since my allergies and migraines have had a tendency to make office schedules a pain.

I also hope we get a chance to go to Vancouver soon, so we can start planning our move soon. The sooner the better. I need to get the right paperwork first...my passport, which will involve me getting a newer version of my birth certificate first. Once I get that, the rest should not be too bad. It is just a matter of filling the paperwork out, sending it with the other papers, headshots, and the fee. The headshot thing may be hard, as the American passport photo is different than the Canadian, or so I have been told. Different requirements. I can't wait to visit the Lunapads office. It would be great working there even if the File Maker Pro thing works...might be good as a part time thing. The women there seem really cool, and I can totally suport the product.

I would also like to get a better hold on the above mentioned allergies and migraines. The migraines are getting better, but the sinus and allergy headaches are seemingly more frequent. I have been looking at lots of things. Part of my solutions are on hold simply because we have not gotten our new healthcare cards...our copays are so much cheaper under his plan than mine. I will be getting re-tested for my allergies by a different office...they may be the same as they were last time, or they might be different. Whatever the results, I will attempt to see my best options in correcting them, hopefully, since my attempts til now have not been totally successful. I have an appointment with a chiropractor in a few weeks. I was told today I have scoliosis. It has been said that chiropractic adjustments help with the sinuses. I saw a pillow that might help too. Or it might be total bogus.

I want to cook more...healthy would be great. I want to cook by myself as well as with others. Cooking with friends is always fun. I want to cook more than convenience stuff, and I want to do things I haven't done before. I want to help Chas eat healthier. We have been doing a few small changes over the last few months and I hope to continue this and progress further. I can't wait to have another kitchen show with the new Mrs Finley. I saw things at the Pampered Chef booth today that I really want! New things!!! :) I also saw these weird terracota things today...I am so tempted to try them. I can't figure out how terracota can be used on a stove top. Guess I will have to try it out.

I would also like to learn more about my heritage. It would be a stretch, but it would be cool if I could learn Polish so my mom would have someone to talk to. but that would mean I would have to talk to her more. I feel guilty that I don't talk with her more, but sometimes I just don't like talking.

I have other goals, but some of them are more private, but at least I have these in my head and have something to aim for in the upcoming year. I know it seems odd to be stating these things in late May, but there is no rule that says all goals have to be New Year's Resolutions, right?
