Well, to start out, it was raining this morning. Rain is not really something I am not used to here in Florida, but it doesn't usually rain here until the afternoon, in the warmer months, and I have been ok in the past getting to work on the few wet mornings we have had since I started taking the bus. This morning there was no one here to take me in, like in the past, so...
I said, "I have an umbrella, so I should be ok," and I chose to wear my full closed toe shoes, with socks, and long sleeved shirt with long pants. I said, "I'll wear my Marinac Parka too, since it has a hood and a wetproof barrier between the two layers of fleece, just in case," and I grabbed my stuff and headed for the door. I opened my umbrella, took a deep breath, and proceeded to walk to the bus stop. I walked as carefully as I could. I walked as close to the grass as possible, as the road/parking lot has this sorta dip in the middle, so water gathers there, and it was too wide to jump over without getting wet, or getting my feet/shoes wet. By the time I got to the entrance to our apartment complex, the backs of my legs were wet. Ok, they were very wet, soaked might be a better word. Still, I trudged on...

Now I am home in my comfy, soft fleece. Still, it all sucked majorly.
