Happiness...

I love Goldfrapp's first cd, Felt Mountain very much even if the pace of the songs is slower. I like them for the architecture of the songs and the imagery and aesthetic feeling of the songs. The second release, Black Cherry was a slight departure from the soundscapes I got from Felt Mountain, and while it was not bad, I lost a bit of interest in them after that. The songs from Black Cherry I think were fairly influential to other bands/musicians too. I like "Train" and "Strict Machine" but never really wanted to get the whole cd...it was too hit and miss for me. Anyway, Seventh Tree is out and this is one of the singles...Happiness. Goldfrapp have won me back in their favour with this one. Maybe it is just a catchy tune, or maybe the guy in a white suit hopping/jumping through the whole video did it for me, but I sure like this one.
