Then you'da hung out with me. I desperately wanted to be cool and have lots of friends and do things normal kids my age did, but I had to be different and as a result, I am much happier how it was then what it could have been if I ha gotten what I wanted. In the end, I had my own identity that I was building and forming...a process that took many years and into college, and a truly caring small network of close friends instead of an army drone-friends. I am also much smarter and more well-rounded a person than any of *those other people* could have been. I mean, I did not let my brains fall for popularity.
