Let me preface this entry with a few words: I WANT MY LIVEJOURNAL BACK AT WORK!!!!!!!!!
Friday, at work, I finished reading my book just before lunch, so in utter desperation, I bought a magazine at lunch from the little convenience store we have in our building. I bought friggin' Allure magazine! Argh! That was so unlike me, but I balanced it out with a Decaf Mocha Frappuccino. But I am better now. Because on Friday night, we went to an art exhibit for our friend, Doug. It was a mobile exhibit, held in a local bookstore with high ceilings. His exhibits are always great. Anyways, since it is a cool bookstore, in a very trendy part of town, I decided I should pick up a few reads to keep me occupied when it slows down at work. I picked up A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers and Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. Since I just finished Bluebeard by Vonnegut, I figured I'd give him a rest and come back to him later so I started the former yesterday.
Ah, yesterday. Let me think back that far. Oh yes, I went to the local farmers market for a while, then went to Whole Foods to pick up a few things. I was having an urge to do a stir fry, and I love using their deli's Asian Flank Steak for it. The steak is perfectly seasoned so you need litttle else but the veggies and noodles or rice to season it. The stuff is addictive, I tell you. So I came home and Chas and I spent some time together. While we were together napping and cuddling, Kristen called and invited us to a late lunch at the nearby IHOP. Yummy yummy Sourdough Burger! We schemed and made plans for the evening. We decided to get together for the Asian Flank Steak Stir Fry and watch the Eddie Izzard dvd for Dressed to Kill. After IHOP, Chas and I went on a few errands and came back home. Eventually, we went to Kris' to make dinner. Got to a late start, but it was worth it in the end. Yum yum yum.
So now today, had an average breakfast buffet earlier but taking a break from doing some domestic things right now. More to do so i am going to go and see what Chas is up to now.
