plunkybugAs I was making my way down the interstate to work this morning, I spotted a warm and familiar sign...Greek Fest the 2nd-4th of May! YAY!!! In about 1998 or so, some friends took me to it for the first time and I got hooked on it then, and we've only missed it once since then...and that was because I was sick. Going to the festival is like visiting an old friend once a year; I look forward to it and always enjoy myself. Oh, and did I mention all the yummy food? Or the free samples of cheese inside? Oh yes, and they have really great cheese including feta. Sigh...
All this Greek Fest talk is making me miss my best friend and his family who are Greek...I miss manoula's spectacular dishes too!!! And I have no more feta in the fridge either...darnit!!! ;)
Oh yeah, we FINALLY got our taxes finished...in the nick of freakin' time too! What a relief! Chas took me to dinner to celebrate. Anyhow, *he* was the one slaving away with the tax program, and he felt he had been neglecting me for the last few days while he has been working on it, so he wanted to take me out. It was only Taco Bell, but where else can two people eat (and get full) for 5 bucks or less?! And I appreciated the offer. I love you sweetie!!! :)
