Last night, it would seem for no reason, that fireworks went off not too far from here. And it wasn't your typical side of the road bought variety either...they went high in the sky and were open and big, one after the other, like 4th of July or New Years celebrations put on by professionals. But they went off at 9:50 pm here. Chas said that someone in his digest from Australia wrote that fireworks had gone off there too, though not at the same time. He thought it might be in celebration of the lunar eclipse, which we missed. No one else here seems to have seen or heard fireworks. How curious, how curious indeed.
