Ok, so dinner flopped, as Chas had a client to see, so he will get dinner on his own. Meanwhile, I had a grilled cheese sandwich. I really wish I could have done it "Good Eats" style but I lack the 2 cast iron pans required for his method. I am so tempted to buy the 2 cast iron pans just to try to recreate the way Alton did it on the show. With an overwhelming 2 votes, I will be making the lamb curry tomorrow night for dinner, unless in the next 24 hours something else gets more votes.

Speaking of Good Eats, I am frustrated. I found a Good Eats FAQ website that had the theme song available for cell phone ring tones. They had one for Nokia too, my brand of phone. Hooray! The theme song is just beepy and boopy enough for my little monophonic phone. So, I tried to email it to myself like he said in the FAQ, and I got the text message, but I was unable to do anything with it after that. I was scared of using the composer in my phone, as I did not want to erase TORGO, loving created just for me. But I spoke with [livejournal.com profile] pluralist_baby and she told me how to do it without erasing the original composed tune; a way for me to let it override one of the other downloaded tunes. She has the same model I do, and she had more than one composed tune, even though the manual says you can only compose one at a time. So I got the nerve yesterday, while waiting in the car for Chas, to try to program it myself, and hope for the best. And you know what? while looking at the manual and the buttons on the phone, there is no way that code was right for my phone. I mean, I like all my current tones, but I really wanted this one. And now I can't have it. Poopie! Poopie! Poopie! :(

I guess I will oggle cookware and such.

I agree! That looked like the best grilled cheese I have EVER seen. I wanted to reach right through the screen and grab it! YUM YUM! You would think that a Tennessee gal would have a few cast iron skillets lying around, but sadly, no.

You like Good Eats too? Hooray!!! I have become slowly obsessed with the show and am in a yahoo group as well as lj community for it. Egads!

Yeah. That sandwich made me drool...it was good cheese on good bread...oozing. As Nigella says, "Minimum effort for maximum pleasure." Oh, I have to stop thinking about it. The steaks he made on last night's episode looked delish too. I really want to get his books now.

Oh dear, I'm ranting again.

Oh yeah, I had not thought of that. I can be SO blonde sometimes. I was told to avoid overriding the previous tone, send it to myself instead of saving, and it will see it as a ringtone and ask where to put it. Or something. And if it messes up, we can always put TORGO back.
