I'll be on vacation by the end of the week! Lots of wonderful people to see! Oh, how excited I am! :]

Still have laundry to do so I can pack though. Blah.

Saw one of the floor supervisors very drunk at the show we went to Friday night. That was neat. I definitely need to look into ear plugs. The static sounds in my left ear are just too annoying when it is very loud. Argh!! I did have a yummy pesto chicken pita bread pizza though. Scarfed it down with intense ferocity. Wooosh! Like a Hoover.

Ok, so on to the weekend. Saturday was neat. It started a little late though, as I was lazy and stayed in bed with my honey for most of the morning. We eventually got up and went to visit my grandad, as usual. It was neat because as we turned the sharp corner to get to his building, we saw 3 blue herons strutting across the street. At least I think that's what the were. They were tall, greyish in color with red fuzzy heads, and long beaks. They strutted along like they OWNED the place! It was like they were saying, "Lookit us badasses. We're gonna walk on the pavement instead of floating in the water, and there's nothing you can do 'bout it! HAHAHAHA!!!" :p Anyhow, my grandad was a little less coherent than he normally is, but we brought him some photos we took at the Highland Games a few weeks ago and he enjoyed them. We did not stay long, because we were really rather hungry, so we got a late lunch nearby.

From there, Chas brought me over to [livejournal.com profile] shyystarr's to spend the afternoon with her. Shortly after I arrived, we had to take her kids over to their grandmother's house for the night. Halfway there, out of the blue, she asks her son, Cameron, if he is wearing any pants and he laughed and said no. He was in a tank top, his boxer-like undies, shoes and a jacket. I knew something was off when I went to hug him when I came in, but I just couldn't put my finger on it then. Apparently, his clothes *had* been laid out, but he never finished getting dressed. Maybe it was my fault for coming over...he loves showing off to me. :P Anyhow, he had a pair in his overnight bag so it was ok. After dropping the kids off, we went to the nearby Starbucks for coffee, and we ran into her mom, and her mom's neighbor. My toffee nut latte was absolutely yummy, and warming, since it was a bit chillier outside than I'd expected (and I'd under-dressed for it). We went back to a kid-less house for a while, so she could get dressed for the Goth Sushi dinner we were going to later, and the club she was going to afterward. We made a quick hop over to Park Avenue, only to find the store I had been interested in closed, so we made the quick hop over to Fuji Sushi. We were concerned that there was supposed to be 20-30 people there and that they weren't going to have enough room, but we were assured that a reservation had been made and it would be ok. When we got there, they did have a small section reserved, but they had to keep adding more and more room to accomodate us, as our party grew larger. It was chaotic at first, but settled down and things were ok eventually. Chas joined me not too much later, and then shortly after that, we were joined by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] glittergrrl69. Dinner took a long time to order and to get our food, but it did come eventually, and it was tasty as usual. In addition, we had wonderful conversations with the people at our table, so that made it better. It was a nice evening all around.

The whole day was nice and relaxed, and improvised. Some of the best times I have had were when there were no plans, just impromptu decisions.

Sunday was sorta busy too. Chas dropped me off at the mall near one of his clients' house, for me to kill time for a few hours. I grabbed a smoothie for lunch and began my way. I was approached by the market research people there, and I agreed to do it. In the end, I got $5 and a free bag of Combos. I will be going back for a lipstick thingy next week when we get back, and I will make another $30. Chas and I went home and he worked for a few hours and I didn't! ;) Around 5:30 or so, we made our way across town to visit some friends of ours, and we had a nice evening together. Came home, crashed, and got up for work today. So that's all.
