Saw Harry Potter 3 on Friday night. I think I enjoyed it more that I had not read the book completely. That made the movie flow and was less nit-picky for me, but anxious to see what was left out.

Saturday the mobile mechanic fixed the lock on Chas's passenger door, but was not able to fix his air or window. He did however fix MY window. Good thing too, since it poured later that afternoon while we were out on errands. Total for everything was $100. Still searching to get my muffler replaced for less than $250. Someone has to have a muffler for my car that isn't a lifetime warranty. My car is old and doesn't need a lifetime warranty. One for 5 or 10 years would suffice if I could save some money on it. Our new subwoofer came too. Everything we play on the computer sounds SO MUCH better now!

Went to Ormond Beach today with Chas' dad. Chas' brother and sister-in-law were at their timeshare. His sister-in-law's nephew and his girlfriend also came up/over from Orlando. We went to a place on the inter-coastal in Port Orange for a brunch, and chatted a while back at their place until we saw the sky turn dark, indicating more rain. We did get stuck in it on the way home, but I didn't care because I was not driving, and I had my music until the batteries died.

on the way up:

The Essex Green-The Long Goodbye
Dusty Trails-Dusty Trails

on the way back:

Art of Noise-Ambient Collection (great to hear with the rain outside in the background adding to what was on the cd)
Anne Dudley-Ancient and Modern (but it died on track 3)

also had with me:

The Buggles-The Plastic Age
Debussy For Relaxation (though that was in the cd/mp3 player and I didn't know til I put the first disc in)

It sucks being in transition to a new bank account type even with the same bank. I cannot use my check card for my gold account until my new one arrives for me free account, because technically my account is free now. Blah! I need to be particularly careful how I handle my account if I do end up switching. I am going to check out Chas' credit union next weekend when I get paid next. Wouldn't it be funny if I made all this fuss to my current bank about the fees and account charges and stuff, change to the free account, only to cancel the account a few weeks later? Ha, the fuckers!

I got a new iChat icon. Hooray! I did it all myself! The new backdrop did not work out, as the resolution must not be the same...it is pixelated or something like that. I will see if Chas can fix it. At least I got that far.

Well, it is still raining outside, or at least still wet, but we need to get groceries. I guess I should see what Chas is up to.

Yes, you will want to read HP3 cause it rocks and explains a LOT of what the movie left out.

anyway......

Try Gene's on Corrine for your muffler. I had to get mine replaced long ago and it was not very expensive. Explain to them that you need something "to get you by" and not to last forever...they are VERY good at that. The number is 407-645-1647 and you can probably call them and get the quote over the phone (at least a ballpark number.) They are usually way below everyone else's price and they are quick and have been around for years-and they don't treat girls like idiots.

Oh, and about the checks....whenever you want to stop by you can. If I am not there, you can always leave them in my mailbox or in the side utility room. I was not feeling well this weekend and had my phone off for most of it.

The movie flowed for me as someone not having read the whole thing. Truth be told, we took so much time between reading sections, that I had forgotten a lot of the beginning anyway. I will definitely have him finish the book with me though.
I liked it better than COS.

Thanks for the referal. I will give them a ring!

Sorry you were not feeling well this weekend. I will call later today, and see what I/we can do, adn if not, I will stop by and drop them off. My checks still work. Whew!

how do you do that thing where you have a clever little saying and that links to your "full" LJ entry? I put an entry up about HP3 and would like to make it look like that so I don't spoil things for my pals who have not yet seen the movie....
