I fucking tore through Goblet of Fire. I've been thinking nearly nothing other than Harry Potter recently, and the time in between reading Order of the Phoenix is like...is like torture. This must be what it feels like for a junkie looking for their next fix. At least mentally. I can't believe fucking Dementors in fucking chapter one! I am in for a ride with this one.

Well, yeah. I had originally thought that it would take me as long to read GOF as it did the first 2 books, and so on with OOTP, which would put me close to HBP, but I underestimated how quickly I'd get through them. I may go back to re-read Lemony Snicket. Don't even know when Book 12 comes out for that.

OOTP was very hard for me to put down. i shit you not: i used to read it WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. i would have it open on the passenger seat and sneak glances, or, if i could, hold it right at the steering wheel. i gobbled the whole thing up as quickly as i could.

SOUE book 12 supposedly comes out in december.

about to reread HP 2-6 for like, the 7th time, but this time in the british version instead of the american ones. slight changes in the first few books, nothing major, but my roommate has them so i am going to read them. already read book 1 of the brit.

I knew that the 1st book was the Philosopher's Stone, but they changed it because we aren't as knowledgable with that or something. I wonder what is different with the books, but I bet I can't get my hands on the British version anyway. I wonder how you can tell the difference.

oh, there are just small differences. like instead of "mom" they write "mum" or instead of "sweater" they say "jumper." i think only the first 2 or 3 have those differences though... i think. the only way you'd be able to tell would be whether it was scholastic publishing (US) or bradbury (UK).

they thought kids wouldn't read a book about a philosopher's stone, because sorceror's stone sounds 'cooler' i suppose.

Hmmm. They already say "Mum" in the versions I have been reading, but not sure about "jumper".
