if it were me, i'd ask around about a cheapy place that was still rather good in quality. i've definitely gone to places and paid no more than $20 and still gotten a good result - but no massage. ;) so see if you can find a cheaper place that will do a good job trimming your hair and won't mess it up, and then maybe next time around you'll be able to go to the fancypants place.
