Gah! My hair is getting long again! I need to get a trim or something. But I have a dilemma here. I got it it cut by a salon in January when I chopped about 5 or 6 inches off and got a new style in general. I paid a bit more than I usually would have, but it was a big change for me, and I just did not feel confident leaving a change like that to a cheapy place. So I forked over $40 (would have been $50 but the assistant styled my hair instead) and I felt it was worth it, not only for the quality of the cut, but also for the neck and head massage they gave me. But I don't have the money right now, for a pampered cut like that, and I don't know how soon I will. The roomie issue will likely have to be figured out before then I suppose. But I have the option of going to a cheapy (or quasi-cheapy) place and getting it done now. It would not be the same experience, but I probably just need it to come up a few inches, and that should be easy enough to do, but I am afraid of the shape being messed up and the stylist who originally cut it not be able to reshape it properly after that. Alternately, I could just bring it back to one length with a cheapy place, and that would be easier to add the layers back in later from the fancy salon. Deep down, I want to go back to the salon, and be pampered, but I just don't know when I can do it, and I am getting antsy with the length of my hair now, especially with the undergrowth I am growing out. The undergrowth from my formerly shaved area is one reason I want it cut now...I want to bring the longer layers closer to the length the undergrowth is now, to bridge the gap so to speak, so that it can grow out evenly (or almost evenly) all together. What do my loverly friends think? Should I wait and hopefully get the money for the fancy salon soon (hopefully), or get a cheapy cut now and hope it can be reshaped by the origin stylist later when it needs to be cut again?
