First thing is that I didn't sleep well Sunday night. I think it was mostly nerves about selling my old car. In inspecting some of the original paperwork, I found out that I had gotten the car just before my 20th birthday. I remembered it was around my birthday (but wasn't sure exactly when), because a few days before I got that car, I first met Peter (via a mutual friend), who baked me a birthday cake then...even if it was a little early. He'd never even met me before! It was such a wonderful thing back then. I met a great person then, and now we've grown to be very good friends over the last several years. It is hard to believe, but it has been almost 9 years! Anyhow, so I had butterflies in my stomach about letting my old car go, despite its condition. It served me well for many years. I ended up getting up way before we had to be at the tag office.
I managed to get Chas up, and we went to the tag office to meet the buyer and his son, who the car was for I guess. While waiting to be seen, there was a guy who came in around the same time we did, with a guitar. Little did I know he was going to play said guitar. Well, he did, and not all that well, I might add. He did a pretty piss poor version of "Classical Gas" but the other songs were ok. I guess it was better than watching Disney's Homeward Bound on the tiny screen in the corner of the office. I should have had a book or my Gameboy to keep me occupied. We eventually got seen and took care of all of our business, and then went home for brekkie, while Chas waited for a fated UPS package. We both ran errands for a little while, making sure someone would be home to receive the package *if* the UPS guy came. His package came while I was out doing my errands, and while he was playing with it, I had myself a little nap, to try to catch up on the sleep I'd missed that morning.
Around 5:00, I got up and we went to the other side of town to visit the Apple store in the Mall at Millenia, and then on to the Florida Mall, where Chas got his hair cut, and I played around in the 2-story Old Navy store. ; p The great thing about being so small is that I can wear kids clothes, so that saves me a lot of money when it comes to some of the basics. I got a pair of jeans, a pair of pants, and a t-shirt for $32.46. Not bad, eh? The pair of pants I got from Victoria's Secret catalog recently were more than that without the shipping, so I returned them yesterday for a refund. I could still add another pair of the sale pants from Old Navy's website, if I wanted to, and only spend a few more dollars than the whole VS order total. Woo hoo!
We went to visit my parents for a little while afterward, and then got groceries and headed home to a late Taco Bell dinner. Went to bed early and here I am today, at work, having a blast. Not.
Well, I probably ought to sign off for now.
