Mmmm. I like the sound of that. My plans fell through with my friend to redye my hair over the weekend, though I totally understand the circumstances so it's alright. So I braved myself up last night and did it on my own, and I honestly think it came out ok, though a tad more red/golden than I had wanted. But I got the dye from a limited selection of colors on sale from Target, so what can I do? Plus, it is likely to fade a bit after a few washes. I love the feel of my hair after it has been dyed. :)

I sometimes think that I am a bit strange (ok, well I know that I am strange! ;>), in that I am naturally blonde, but choose to darken my hair. They always say that blondes have more fun, but I never felt that way. Anyhow, I have my reasons, and many people seem to like it darker (like my Glitter Girl), though there is a little bit of red in there for those that miss my old red hair (like my huggy bear). I think that this darker hair color expresses who I am the best...mostly conservative with the light brown color and a little bit of a wild side with the reddish gold tint/highlights. I like it a lot. I feel good about myself too.

Well, I think I am over this vain little hair rant for now. :)

My lunch was rather uneventful. I accidentally pulled the "healthy" version of minestrone soup off the shelf when shopping last. Needless to say, it tasted rather bland. I had to pay 5 cents for a salt packet which made it a marginally better. I ended up tossing about half of it away. I hate to waste food, but on the other hand, I did not have a lid to store it with. There was nothing I could have done.

So after my lunch, I had a nice walk outside. It was warm enough that I could take my sweater off and just have my shirt underneath on, but still feel a cool breeze. It was much colder this morning. It makes me so mad to know that my heater is broken. I went 7 years without it in my old car, and I did survive since it is Florida (and I only suffered going to and from work mostly), but with the new car, it was so nice last winter...so nice... It was always too much money to repair on my old car, and I always prioritized repairs to things that actually affected the driving of it, and not the luxury of it. But now...I just want my heat back. :( I guess the next step is to see why it is not working on this car and how much it would be to repair. Maybe good luck will be in my favor and it will not be pricey. I still have a muffler to replace and a fuel injection service to get. Ugh. Why do cars hate me?

I need to figure out what to do for dinner, with the ingredients I already have. I don't have a lot of options, nor a lot of money to shop with. Not at least until I find out how much Chas has left after his trip. Oh how I have missed him so! He comes home tomorrow night...yippeee! I am so excited!!! :)

I'd also like to welcome [livejournal.com profile] markjrubin (my baby brother ;p) to lj, along with many others who I meant to welcome as I added them. Too many to remember which exact ones are new or new-ish. So, hi to all if I have not welcomed you yet.

Gotta get back to thinking of dinner. I am thinking spaetzle with bratwurst. Not very exiting, but ought to yeild enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Eh. I am going now.

Oh, and for some reason, every time the phone by this desk rings, I have just been getting freaked out about it tonight. I dunno why.
