It will be a busy next few days until we fly out. Friday night I took Chas out to Starbucks for a treat. I bought us some Chantico drinking chocolate. It is so good! My mom was here yesterday for a few hours. We had a late, and very filling lunch at Polonia. She and Chas each had the Big Polish Sampler, while I had the smaller but still large Polish Combo. I had to take some of it home. My mom and I played a few rounds of Scrabble and headed off to go on the Winter Park Boat Tour, which is something we had wanted to do on a previous visit, but did not have the chance then. She enjoyed it. We went to the store for a few things, came home, and made tea to go with our poppyseed cake we got to go from the restaurant earlier. She headed out after that. And Chas and I did stuff and watched "A Mighty Wind" which was really funny.

Today, in an hour, we are going downtown for a tea time at the library and a visit from "Queen Elizabeth I" as well. My dad knows the group that does these things, and the woman who plays the queen. Chas is doing an article on this for the paper. After that we are going to a friend's house. She is going to do ear candles, in hopes of making my ears in good shape to fly in a few days. I am all stuffy today. Chas has work he has to do at the paper so he can leave to go to LA alright, without leaving them high and dry.

I have tomorrow off because they fucked up my schedule next week with my vacation time and normal days off. So I had to work with the ops manager before I left on Friday because I was not confident what my manager had told me, and it turns out he was wrong. I have never had so much trouble before with my vacations. It is actually good that I have the day off though, because it will give me a chance to do laundry and pack, though my Old Navy order is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, and I intend to pack what I got unless it doesn't work out, which in that case I will go to the local store and swap or get a refund. I also intend to re-dye my hair if I have the chance. And money.

Tuesday after work around 8pm I am going to see my first opera, The Mikado, by Gilbert and Sullivan. It should be interesting. Then I have a half day at work Wednesday, come home, finish the last details and hop in the cab and go to the airport. Then we will be in LA!! Yay!!!

Well, I need to finish my chai and get dressed to go see the queen at tea time.
