It is odd, but I am actually looking forward to my doctor appointment in the morning. Hopefully I will find out what is causing the pain in my left leg/back/hip area, preventing me from moving it into the positions I can normally get into. I can't even sit "Indian Style" anymore. This troubles me greatly. Now, I have another issue I want addressed...my chest. I don't mean my boobs or anything, but more the feeling of tightness and heaviness in my chest. The unsatisfying deep breaths. I am sure it is allergy related, as I have had this feeling before in past allergy seasons. There is a strong possibility it is asthma from what the people at [livejournal.com profile] allergies said in response to my post about it, even if I don't have not attacks where I can't breathe. I was told by a doctor about 5-6 years ago I had it, then another doctor said I didn't, and when my last doctor asked me about it, I said I didn't know because of the mixed diagnoses. But she never told me what she thought, so I expect I will find out her opinion at the appointment.

Should go to bed to get up in time.

My parents are stuck out at sea...somewhere between Aruba and San Juan. We don't know what the problem is yet, or when they'll be able to return. It is possible that their return tickets are invalid now too. :(

Here's the email my parents sent yesterday )

Update: My brother, Mark, called Carnival, and the problem has something to do with the ship's propulsion unit or something. Bascially, the ship is moving rrrreeeeaaaallllyyyy sssslllloooowwww. Because of it, they will miss their flight home and not sure whether they're tickets are any good. So far, this is as much as we know.

In my haste to update with the news of my parents stuck at sea, I neglected to update about what happened at the doctor's office. Not a whole lot was learned about my back, but I had some x-rays done, which I rather expected. I also had chest x-rays for the breathing issues. I will get a call back once the results of both x-rays come in. She checked for wheezing, but said I wasn't wheezing, but I could still be suffering asthma, and she gave me an Advair sample, with prescription, to see if it helps loosen up my chest a bit. So, she hasn't said, "yeah, you have asthma" in so many words, but getting the chest x-ray and script makes me think she suspects it at the very least. The only treatment for the back at this time is pain medication or heat therapy. So, no diagnosis on the back/leg/hip thing yet, and no positive comfirmation on the chest thing. Possibly asthma in the chest. Possibly nerve pinching or inflamation in my back.

A picture I took today while waiting for the bus to take me to the mall after my doctor appointment was over. I had a 40 minute wait. Oh for a decent bus system.

Through the treetops.
