Bloggy goodness...
2 September 2005 01:24Aside from a few typos, and such, here is Day 1 of Chas' trip. Link to the pictures is at the top...I missed that the first time. Slideshow is good to use, because you get bigger pictures. :)
Will post when new stuff comes in, or you can just check the page periodically for his updates if you are interested.
I miss my huggy bear terribly. I can't wait to have him wrap his arms around me, lift me off the ground, and give me a big smooch. :)
On a separate note, I am excited about renting a car for the weekend. Some people have poo-pooed the idea, with the issues of gas and so forth, but here's the deal: I haven't driven my car in at least a month, if not longer. In addition, I don't plan on spontaneously driving all over the state or even all over town, but I do want to be able to go to a few places nearby, without having to take the bus. Besides, I do not have enough cash to cover a bus ride to somewhere that I can get cash, or a bus pass. Even if I chose the mid size car (I will only take if I can get a Pontiac Vibe), the fuel economy on those cars is vastly superior to the hunk of metal out in front of our apartment that I call my car gets. Maybe I will just rent it for one day, and get the driving done with in the one day, instead of the whole weekend. Guess that rather depends on how I will get to work Saturday. Yes, I work Saturday, but at least I was able to get a day off later in the week (Friday...probably the last in a long while to come) to break up the 6 days in a row I would have worked otherwise. Ana is cool like that. I knew asking for Saturday was not likely to happen, though I did give it a shot anyhow. Had to try to get the 3 day weekend in there. :)
In other news, I did good stuff today. I donated $20 to a paypal account for some friends of a friend who lost it all with Katrina. They lived in New Orleans. I also gave another $20 to the Red Cross fundraiser with Brighthouse Networks and Central Florida News 13.
My back is hurting, so I think I will turn in early tonight.
