plunkybug: (Tea Dammit!)

Due to a mix up of email addresses, Adagio Teas sent me another $5 gift certificate. So, I changed the email on my account to the one they sent it to, which is the one I initially tried ordering with, but since the first gift certificate was sent to a different email, I had to use that one instead to redeem the gift certificate on my first order. Make sense? Anyhow, so I changed the email to the one the last gift certificate was sent to so I wouldn't have to make a new account and all my stuff would carry over. And it worked. I already have the herbal sampler, which has both fruit teas and herb teas, so I decided to make my own sampler of other teas. Here's what I ordered this time (all samples..$2-5 each).

Green tea from Japan that is the "snap, crackle, pop" of teas. Genmai Cha is an exotic Japanese recipe that combines popped rice and popcorn with tender and delicate green tea leaves. First used by peasants as a cost-saving measure, our "Genmai Cha Pop" tea is now equally popular with modern urbanites. Both groups enjoy a refreshing cup that's both sweet and nutty.

White tea from the Fujian province of China. Snowbud as its name implies is an airy, light tea. And yields a cup worthy of its name: it is effervescent and graceful, with delicate, clean aroma. Snowbud is comprised exclusively of unprocessed leaves and buds, all gathered and dried in the early days of spring. Of all the teas we offer, our "Snowbud Finale" is the lightest one. If you enjoy the subtle, gentle taste of white tea, we hope you'll give this one a try.

Oolong tea from the Fujian province of China infused with the delicate scent of the night-blooming jasmine flowers. If you enjoy jasmine tea, we urge you to try the sublime taste of its well-made varieties. Our "Jasmine Suite no. 12" is an exotic Dragon Phoenix Pearl tea, comprised of intricate jasmine-infused pearls. Each pearl combines two delicate leaves and an unopened bud. When added to water, the pearls majestically unfurl, releasing their delicate scent and flavor. A spellbinding treat for all senses. While not cheap, this tea is well worth the experience.

Black tea from the Darjeeling region of India. If you enjoy Darjeeling tea, you are sure to appreciate this 'wonder.' Our "Darjeeling Rhapsody no. 2" is a second-flush (summer) hand-made 'wonder' tea from the upper reaches (7000 feet above sea level) of the Gopaldhara estate. It is a gorgeous-looking clonal tea with a sublime taste to match.
