Here are some images of Victoria and surrounding areas from a user on picvic. They're panoramas, so check out the whole picture. They're good and show off the city as best I have found online so far. More from another poster here. More awesome ones here including a panorama at the bottom. For point of reference, the bus depot is on the other side of the Empress hotel. Our hotel was a block or so away from the Parliament building seen in the pano shot...it was near the Undersea Gardens and the scooter place was also right by the bus depot. These are mainly from Old Town and Downtown, near the harbour...all very beautiful. Hope to have our pics developed soon.

that's the Provincial Legislature, not Parliament--Parliament is in Ottawa.. ;)

Ok. I still heard people refer to it as Parliment as far as the capitol of the province, but I suppose it was just a mistake/misnomer.

they are referred to as parliament buildings sometimes (in BC), but it's not referred to as parliament or the provincial parliament in canada. Like, in Edmonton Alberta, it's not Alberta parliament it's the Alberta Legislature or for short we'd call it "the ledge".

If you end up moving here you'll see why it's a subtle distinction...

I just checked my Frommer's Guide, and they do call them Parliment Buildings with Provincial Legislature in parenthesis next to it.
