I am back to being medicated daily again, and it sucks. But does it suck worse than sneezing all of the time? Is my drowsiness, moodiness, and brain fog really worth it? I'd have to say that it is shit for a trade off. Better to be drowsy than to have panic and anxiety attacks like I have had with Claritin-D, so Benadryll it is for me. Children's Benadryll, half dose, and I am still half baked. I am such a puss with drugs sometimes...they either have no effect on the symptom, or I react so strongly to them. Claritin *used to* work for me, but doesn' anymoret, and the Claritin-D fucks me up so bad...I had an anixiety attack with 24 hours of taking it. Ugh, that was really scary. I so do not want to go there again. Ever.

Well, I won't bore anyone with my stupid sinuses and allergies.

I'm sorry your allergies are so bad. Mine seem to have gotten worse over the years. It got to the point a couple of years ago that one of my co-workers would only say "gezeundheit" to me once a day because I sneezed so much and she couldn't keep up! :) This summer has been much better. It is either the fact that we've had so much rain or that I'm taking some Chinese herbal supplements or maybe a combination of both. The only commercial medication I've liked was a generic antihistamine/nasal decongestant combo. I had some odd reactions to other stuff, so I sympathize with your plight. Hang in there!

Well, they aren't so bad like I feel like I have a bad cold, but they are bad enough that I feel like I have a minor cold....that I have minor congestion, and fairly regular sneezing, which of course has an effect on the sinuses and I have to blow my nose, even if there is not much goop to blow out. What doyou take for your allergies? I have tried a number of things, both traditional and non-traditional.

Since June I've been taking Shaklee's "NutriFeron" it's an immune booster of Chinese herbal supplements like Pumpkin seed, Safflower, asian plaintain, and Japanese Honeysuckle extract. When I get sinus headaches (or when I used to sneeze all day) I take CVS generic cold and allergy medicine and ibuprofen. The CVS stuff used to be psuedoephedrine and clorpheniramine as the generic equivalent of Sudafed-Sinus and Allergy. CVS changed the formula recently to remove the ephedra but I think it still works ok.

I used to use Comtrex Acute Head Cold, but I haven't found it recently. I got some Children's Benadryll Chewables recently that seem to work well enough, though a dose for ages 12 and under is 1-2 chewables, and 12 and up is 2-4, and I get drowsy taking just one. :?
