Well, I just learned that my new glasses have a number of very fine scratches on the left lens which is the main eye I see from, and the one that needs the correction more. It is not affecting my sight or anything, but it is depressing to know that they are there. I have had them less than a week, and have been storing them in the silk cloth and carrying case they provided. I have mostly had them outside of my purse because I have had my other pair there for just in case reasons. On few occasions I have out both pair in my purse but it is kinda tight keeping both pairs in there. I will eventually just carry the one pair. Chas couldn't see the lines like I could and though it was a smudge, but they did not go away after washing them. They have to be scratches...the vertical lines are so close and evenly spaced, though different heights. I don't think I got a warranty on them, but for a week's use, they should do something.

Edit: Since this didn't get posted until now, Chas did end up seeing what I was talking about so I took them in and had them looked at. They told me it was the reflective coating, and they basically insinuated that I had mishandled them by laying them down on something hard. I said "Listen to me. I have had them less than a week, only wear them driving which has been a handful of times so far, and at all other times have had them in your cleaning cloth and case the way you left them when I got them. I have had no problem with my other glasses which I have had for a few years (which didn't have the coating though)," and they said they had to send them off for a new lens because the frame is discontinued now. They made it seem that *sneezing* could scratch them. I mean, they're glasses, they're going to be worn, and used. If the coating is that delicate, then maybe they need to figure out something else to use instead, or make a clearcoat to make it less of an issue. Anyhow, I hope to have them back soon so I can post pics.

Thanks. I do still have my old glasses which work just fine, but my new ones are just better.

My major worry is the way the people there were talking about the coating, and how the wind changing direction could damage it.

That's a little ridiculous. It shouldn't be that sensitive. If it is, then they need to add a protective coating to it.
