Today's the day...

...my schedule is all screwed up for the day and everything is outta whack. Especially my lunch and breaks...I kinda got used to eating at roughly the same times each day now, but today...well, it's just got me outta whack. But, what a pleasant surprise it was to find a nearly front row parking space and to find out that my seat was still there when I arrived this morning. It's first come first serve here, even though I usually have the same parking spot and desk each day. I miss *my* seat from my old account...I had pictures and a calendar and my personal stuff at *my* desk. But not here; we're open 24/7/365 so someone sits where I do when I am gone. Sniff...

On the plus side, I just had a Teddy Graham Handi-Snack...4 teddy shaped graham crackers with honey-vanilla icing/spread. Yummy! And I just gave back Factotum to be exchanged for another mentally stimulating book. Wonder which one that'll be. Will have to find out later. Oh goodie!

Oh this really burns me!!

Ok, I am really annoyed now. Earlier this month I put in a request for time off in late June, so that I could try to visit a dear friend. Except that I just checked the status of the request, and it says it was denied. The reason it says it was denied is that I have to request each day separately, instead of a group of days back to back. Bugger...what a pain. So, I went back and tried to request my tiny 3 days, this time...day by day, and now they aren't even showing up that I requested them today. Normally, it says "pending" for the status as soon as it is requested and until the request is approved or denied. I guess I will just have to check it later to see if it really went in the system. This is so frustrating...Argh!!!

...request is in...it took a while for the system to show it...fingers crossed that it is approved.
