Ugh...this day keeps on dragging, and I have had some really nasty customers too. One lady hung up on me because she was frustrated that she could not find a model number on her modem or router, and since we have used Efficient Networks modems AND routers, it was important she tell me. Troubleshooting the internet with a router is different than a modem. Way different. Why should she even ask to speak to another person when they are going to attempt to get the same info from her? I am sorry she was frustrated, but I could not continue without that knowledge. It's not like I was beating her down over the phone or anything. I was my normal, pleasant self, just trying to guide her in the right direction...she has to help me a little so I can help her in return. She was the one gettting upset and fronting an attitude. I was just trying to help her. Oh well. Her loss. She will probably call back and get someone not as patient or nice, and then she'll regret having hung up on me.

I have a little time to myself right now, so I thought I would immerse myself in lovely music and enjoy eating some yummy food. So I started to make copies of cds that I have owed [livejournal.com profile] hervoodoo for quite a while, since Chas will be seeing her and [livejournal.com profile] octophonic in a few days, I thought now was a good time. but it seems that the cd burning gods deem that only one of the discs be burned. For some reason, I can't seem to burn my "it's ok to tap your fingers" playlist. The first time it quit part way through, so I tried a few other discs, but it won't burn. I guess I will wait and try later, maybe make a different playlist this time, to see what happens. If it won't work then, I will have Chas fix it. He can fix anything on the computer. :)

The kitchen demands my attention. The spicy Latin smells draw me away from the computer for now.

I just found a website with a ton of rare Trash Can Sinatras material, including many live recordings. I'm in TCS heaven! If Chas can capture this material, I see a cd in my future! :)

A few examples...Hayfever , How Can I Apply?, To Sir With Love*, and Snow**

*From the 1967 film of the same name, originally sung by Lulu.

**This is probably the poorest quality track of the 4 tracks, but the recorded version has such depth to it...it is amazing, especially with that bass riff. Now does anyone agree with me that it has a bit of a Radiohead sound to it, or am I simply mad? Nicole (aka Miss Radiohead), I'm looking at you for your input here. ; )
