I got a head full o' goo.

I want some avgolemono soup. Except I want it with orzo instead of rice...cuz I like it better that way! :) Anyone wanna take me to Mykonos in Longwood to get some? Chas is out with my car exploring more of the Disney parks for his book, and will be out quite late tonight, so I am solo tonight.

So, currently I am marinating some canned artichokes and some leftover chicken from Popeye's sans the skin. I am going to roast or broil the artichokes, add the cut up chicken breast (which is marinating also, despite being cooked already--I want to change the flavor to go with the dish) which I may re-roast/broil to seal in the flavor and meld it with the artichokes, and serve it with some angel hair pasta. Or something. I don't have all the details worked out yet...just kinda going with the flow to see where it takes me. It will either be amazing, mediocre, or suck royally, but as long as it is edible, I will be ok.

It doesn't happen all the time, but it seems to be a recurring pattern that when I am sick I like to cook more, which is odd, since I don't usually have much energy for the tasks. But I always manage. One of the few productive things I accomplish. Lately it tends to be sweets, but I guess it is savory since Chas is out and I will be able to make whatever I want.

I don't know what I am going to do now.

Hooray for good friends and good food...and 3-ply KLEENEX with lotion! :)

I want to have a really hot shower and let the water beat on my aching neck and shoulders. My sinuses would probably feel much better too. The odd thing is that I want to wash my hair again, even though I don't have to. I washed it last night and I can usually go 3-4 days without washing it and I will be ok. I guess that is a bonus of having dry and damaged hair. Anyhow, I think the real reason I want to wash my hair is to smell my new shampoo and conditioner...they have very uplifting essential oils in them and I think I need an herbal pick me up now. I think my nose wants to try to smell them. I think my nose wants to smell ANYTHING right about now.

Speaking of senses, my dinner came out fabulously.

Here are a few more details... )

UPDATE: I did have my hot shower, but I stuck my hair up in a bun and shower cap and decided to use some of Chas' Tea Tree Oil Shampoo as a body wash. Reason? Tea Tree oil is minty feeling and smelling, and it is a good overall cleanser. It sudsed up so why not? I have seen shampoo/body wash combos before. They are great for traveling actually. Anyhow. So I accomplished all I wanted without having to wash my hair. I mean, it is already clean, so why wash it again just for the sake of washing it to smell the shampoo and conditioner? I also realized I have some minty oil mixture which can be used as a massage oil or sports rub. Now I just hafta wait for my huggy bear to return home so he can massage some into my neck and shoulders. That's using my noggin!! :)
