plunkybugThere is this strange feeling, standing outside and looking up at the dark, looming clouds with the wall of rain below; hearing the distant boom of thunder and seeing the occasional crack of lightening; and watching this whole mess slowly move closer and closer to you, and knowing that you are going to get smothered by it if you stay there.
I'm just glad I was smart enough to grab my umbrella from the car while I was outside on my last break, just as the first drops of water were beginning to fall. Oddly, I can't tell if it is raining outside now; I think it looks wet outside, but there is no howling wind or rain pounding the side of our building. I hope it will be dry (enough) for pre Fourth of July fireworks later this evening.
