This is for you, morgaine_nicely (and anyone else who has issues/concerns with the boom of the Atkins Diet/Lifestyle).

So here is my low carb diet thought of the day: If carbohydrates are so bad, and are the culprit to what is making Americans so fat, and causing various health issues, why does it not seem to affect Asian populations whose diets are plentiful in rice and noodles?

I agree with you on many of your points. I am just trying to look at the whole thing from a different perspective and, honestly, I have A LOT of thoughts regarding low carb diets/lifestyles. Some positive and some negative. Probably far too many to list here though.
